๐Ÿ“– How It Works

Spaced Repetition

Cards are shown at increasing intervals based on how well you know them. The better you rate a card, the longer before you see it again — so you spend more time on what you find hard and less on what you already know.

Studying a Card

Tap a card to reveal the answer, then rate how well you knew it from 1–4:

  • Again (1) – Got it wrong, card resets
  • Hard (2) – Struggled, shown again soon
  • Good (3) – Got it right with some effort
  • Easy (4) – Knew it instantly, longer interval

Your rating decides when you’ll next see the card. Rating Good or Easy pushes the card further into the future; rating Again or Hard brings it back quickly.

How the spacing algorithm works ›

This app uses the SM-2 algorithm. Each card tracks an interval (days until next review) and an easiness factor that adapts to you.

  • Again or Hard → interval resets to 1 day
  • Good or Easy (first time) → 1 day
  • Correct a second time → 6 days
  • After that, interval × easiness factor each time (starts at 2.5×)

Example with consistent Good ratings: 1d → 6d → 15d → 38d → 95d. Easy makes intervals grow faster; Hard slows them down.

Card Stages

Unseen – Not yet studied
Learning – Review interval under 21 days
Mastered – Review interval 21+ days

Daily Study

Each day you’ll see cards due for review plus a batch of new cards (default 5 per deck, adjustable in Settings). Once all due cards are done, you can optionally study 5 more.
